There are tons of PC comm programs. How is an upstart like InTrec going
to compete against established, industry-standard products like ProComm,
Qmodem, Telix, etc.?

On the other hand, there was (before ProTERM Mac) not one single decent
Mac communications program. All had bad user interfaces, lacked
important features, or were too expensive. It's very telling that the
most popular Mac communications package was a shareware product, ZTerm.
(ZTerm lacks a few features but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either.)

Also, there is the fact that the concentration of former Apple II users
(and thus the ProTERM name recognition) is higher in the Macintosh
community than in the PC community.

: I feel better now!

So do I. But I feel better because there's a decent comm program on the
Mac finally, not because I've bashed the users of another computer platform.
