Yes, it is enhanced.  It is one of the latest IIe's (platinum, keypad, 
128k, etc.).  Another thought that I had was that maybe the 5.25 
controller card that the DuoDisk is hooked to might be the problem.  When 
I cold boot or warm boot with no disk in drive one, then drive one just 
spins until I either power down or do a 3-finger salute.  It also does 
this if I  take off the DuoDisk and put on a regular 5.25 drive.  I've 
even taken out the 5.25 controller and replaced it with a Disk ][ 
controller and drive with the same results.  It seems like the only thing 
that is attempting to be accessed is the 5.25 drives, which then spin 
constantly if no disk is in them.  Is this normal behavior for 5.25 
drives on a IIe?  IIc's and gs's in scan mode don't do this.  They 
attempt to access the disk, make a couple of horrible grinding noises, 
and then give you a "Check Startup Drive" message ( or something 
similar).  Whats' up?
