Sure you have FTP access... through email: FTPmail.  Yeah, it's slow and
it's sometimes tedious.  But you can send 10 requests at a time, and you
can do what you want independently.  Send help in the message body to
ftpmail@decwrl.dec.com

My account here is strictly email... and it is my first internet-related
account...  you'd be amazed at what you learn to do through email when
you are restriced to only that (much more than snagging new Apple II
software...)   I'll never regret getting a full-access account elsewhere.
