The ROM 03 has less noise with sound due to better construction/shielding,
1.125 megs of memory built in (no need to buy a memory card to make one meg
first, just go _from_ one meg instead), and is usually priced the same
as the 256k rom 01's.  Some older software does not work on the ROM 03, 
but 99% does.  _All_ new software will work on a ROM 03 (commercial, I cannot
boast for shareware/freeware since I haven't tested all of it).

Either way, you have a GS and you win :)
