: the 74F00 pair with 74HC00 (my next step).

I recently removed the F00/F02s and replaced them with Fairchild parts
(still F series) and socketed them. Just for fun I replaced the 74F00
with a 7400. EVen at 12MHz it worked. Well, as well as can be expected
for my setup. My Zip will not work at 12MHz reliably for some reason.
The 7400 just had no effect on the system, good or bad. So my conclusion
is the 74F00 is not a speed sensitive component.

Back to my 12MHz wall. I have Intergrated Design Technologies 15nS SRAM
installed. I use to have 25 nS Micro Technologies SRAM. No real
difference. I replaced the cable. Still no help! Darn thing is a whole
I poor money into. I want to find out if it is the ASIC or the ROM 01!
<grrrr!>
