How do I use a 28.8 modem with ProTERM

I have a SupraFAXmodem 28.8kbps v.34 modem, and I need it to work with 
ProTERM 3.1.  Do I have to get an update to the program, or just use a 
wacky bps setting, or what?  Also, what should the Control Panel settings 
be?  Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks!
