Yes.  Ditto for disks factory formatted for Macintosh, for nothing at all,
previously formatted for Amiga, Chyron VP-2, Quanta QCG-304, Laird, Smith
Corona, etc. etc. etc. etc.

If it really bugs you, grab a bulk-eraser and zap the disk to 'unformat'
it.  But that is not necessary.  Just stick it in the drive and reformat
the sucker!

And it isn't a stupid question at all.  Just a question with an "obvious"
answer.
