Re: Quality Computers Tech Support
The 800 number for Quality Computers is for orders and customer support only.
It is very expensive to have many Apple II users call on the 800 line and talk
for 20 minutes ...
I have called Quality and they have told me to call tech support for
information regarding, well, technical support. :)
If you're ordering or you have questions about II Alive, returning products,
product information, etc., use the 800 number. For technical support, use the
toll number, which is what many companies do these days. Although their tech
support was a little slow on a few of the calls, I have found thier staff to be
knowledgable if you talk to the people that know what an Apple II is. Ask what
a IIGS is on the 800 line at Quality and more often then not you will get a
'ummm... lemme look it up.' Really, it's kind of funny.
But that's off the point -- use the toll number for tech support. That's the
ways it has been for years now at Quality. :)
But I would like it if they would know what a GS is without bouncing me back
and forth between 3 operators, frantically looking for a code number for the
product I was searching for.
Still, a great company, with great service, but growing and experiencing
growing pains and educating new staff members. They're going out of their way
to support us, and we shouldn't badger them too much :)
