There is an 8-bit version of it, also available at the above address
which will work on any prodos apple II.   I highly recommend it.  

Oops, you asked what it is.   It is a _collection_ of several disk 
utilities, including the standard file copy, delete, etc.   It is also
the best program launcher I've ever seen, which is handy if you have a 
Hard Drive.   It also includes volume repair and sector/bit editor
utilities, and a whole bunch of other stuff. 

I'd say if you have a HD for that IIe, you owe it to yourself to 
get PROsel 8.  It's even more important for IIe owners with a HD
than for GS owners.
