APPLE II dial in to the internet

Help I have a friend who just got an apple II clone system and wants to
get on to the internet from home. He has can accsess the net though the
school he works at but would like to de able to get on line from home. Is
there software available for the Apple II line of computers to allow him
to use the various areas of the internet (Newsgroups, EMail,ect.) and
where can it be found.
