That aside--no, you can't swap power supplies to get keyboard power-on.
The keyboard on the Mac is not connected to the power supply, therefore,
there must be some support hardware required to implement this feature. (
There's probably some addition to the Mac version of the Apple Desktop Bus
that makes it work). I'm not sure how it's done, but I'm pretty sure that
the IIgs is incapable of it. Doesn't really matter, though. :)
