   On both the original GS keyboard and an Extended II, it is certainly
possible to rearrange the standard keycaps. (space is staying where it
is, sorry :) A flat-blade screwdriver can be used to pop up the key
tops, and then you can put them down wherever you want. It's much better
to use 2 screwdrivers on opposite sides or something like a chip puller
to pull the key out evenly.
