Ah yes, the Silent Type. I've got two of them and use them almost
every day to get quick printouts of HiRes screen. I even had one
hooked up to a GS for a while, but only try to print ProDOS 8 stuff
with it. Yes, the card looks like it goes in backwards. It should go
in slot 1 like any other printer card with the components away from
the power supply. This puts the connector towards the keyboard. To
give it a quick test access it from AppleSoft as they describe in the
manual. Specifically, boot into AppleSoft, enter PR#1 (the print head
should zero itself) and hit 'Return' a couple of times. Just for
kicks try to type in PRINT "Hello". Enter PR#0 (or PR#3) to turn the
printer off.
