Ram for a franklin 1200
I have a franklin 1200, which is an apple compatable. I think they were
sued out of business.... not too good for me. I try to run software,
namely anything with prodos, and it locks up after the initial screen
stating which version of prodos it is. I also tried another program
called magic slate, and I got a message stating 128k required. Does
prodos require 128k? Or is this just an incompatability that Apple
deliberately included to force this computer out of the market. From what
I remember, I thought that Franklin was sued for copying the hardware too
closely. Wouldn't this mean that at least some apple software should work?
I want to sell this computer, and I have a buyerm but she wont buy it if
it wont work. It doesn't have a memory slot like a //e, anybody know how
to add memory, and what chips I might need. Or where to get them.
Any help would be appreciated. I haven't seen an article on the franklin
here in usenet. I guess no one in his/her right mind bought one when they
were new. I got mine for $3 from the school surplus. Please, I know that
someone must have had one besides my school board. If you help I wont
tell anyone that you had one, promise.
thanks
