Hi Joe!
Jeesh, where to begin? The latest system software in v6.01.
I'd suggest getting a Sequential Systems 4 Mb RAM card from Alltech
and FlashBoot from Quality Computers, or go all the way and buy a
SCSI hard drive. An automated weather station would be cool, and
it shouldn't be too big a task if you can find a setup that uses
a serial interface. I've often tinkered with the idea of using some
ol II+'s for weather recording, seismometry, or even monitoring a
magnitometer. One thing we've recently added to our "family" GS is a
used MIDI keyboard. We use in in conjunction with synthLAB (which
comes with GSOS v6.01) and it makes a NICE music system. Some folks
add GNO/ME to their systems and turn them into Unix boxes.
Just a few quick idears off the top of the ol noggin.
Have fun!
John
