Problem with UniDisk 3.5

	I'm asking this on behave of a local Apple //c user. This person has
a UniDisk 3.5 (800k external drive) which he's owned and used for a number of 
years. Recently however, it suddenly stopped working. The problem is simple, 
if he inserts a disk into the drive when turning on the //c, it automatically 
gets ejected right away. If he tries to insert a disk afterwards, the //c
is unable to read it. Apple 5.25 drives attached to the smartport work just 
fine he reports, but the UniDisk 3.5 seems to not function at all...

	His Apple //c has the UniDisk 3.5 ROM (possibly higher) and I 
believe a few enhancements like a ZRAM-ultra and Zip-Chip. No problems
occurred in the past though. If someone knows what the problem may be,
or knows a way to fix it, please me mail back and I'll forward that
information to him. Thanks.
