Problem with BeagleWrite

I am using a foreign dot matrix printer which I've been told should be
compatible with the American Epson series printers.
When I use BeagleWrite as the word processor, every line of text gets cut
in half while it is printing, that is, it jumps some space while in the
middle of printing each line.
I am using a MicroTek Dumpling GX interface card and an Apple //e (enhanced).
I can send a code to the printer to change the "space between lines" from
1/6" to 1/8" and that way the gap in each line is thinner but is still
visible. The printer doesn't have any switches that I can see.

The same problem happens if I dump a Hires graphic to the printer from Basic
(with the command Print CHR$(9);"G") but this time the graphic is cut many
times not once.

This problem occurs only when printing graphics. When I use Appleworks or
other applications that only print text, the printout is fine.

Any ideas as to what is happening and if it can be corrected??

Thanks.
