Decade-old Ultima puzzler

I just thought of something from my miss-spent youth. When we'd play
hours and hours of the ultima games, we always wanted a way to print
out maps of towns you see by using the magic jewel (I think this is
UII) but we never found one how.  Is there a way to do this without any
special hardware? Either as a print screen of some kind or a way to
poke through the disk files to find all the maps.
