Ed,
I think the question was mainly "which addresses may be used and
how do I decode them". Keep in mind that the MainStream (tm)
computers used today do not have such a thing as dedicated I/O
addresses for each slot, or even shared interrupt/dma lines
(which leads to no end of trouble, alas).
Besides, come on, gimme a break. Someone who does his own
hardware does not peek and poke, he sta's and lda's ;-)
