You can fudge it, in Misc/Preferences/More, turn off bold and umm
its either inverse or underline (underline I think) and you'll find
you can see things again :)
As for the arrow keys try changing between the two vt100 emulations,
if you dont see a second emulation with a * next to it, get the pt3.0
patches ..
