I have several friends with 486/66s and accelerated graphics cards. They
all use 14" interlaced monitors, and while at 1024x768 it is a bit small it
is still quite servicable. 800x600 is not interlaced, is rock steady, and
looks quite nice. This type of 14" SVGA monitors can be had for $200-$300,
maybe less (been a while since I checked).
