Sorry, I couldn't resist a shameless plug.....an alternative to the programs
others have suggested is Desktop Utilities 3.3, which not only allows you to
load NDAs and CDAs on the fly, it also installs fonts on the fly from any
program, removes NDAs and CDAs, allows you to configure 'Virtual DAs' which
are loaded only when needed but are always available, gives you a basic
program switcher, a simple screen blanker, hotkeys for DAs, 'wide' menus and
more - all for about 30K of RAM and disk space.
Admittedly, DTUtils3.3 was released about two years ago and is starting to
show signs of age; while it is quite stable, a couple of its features don't
quite work properly under System 6.0.1. As you read this I am working on a
radical rewrite: see comp.binaries.apple2 for a sneak preview.
Of course, if you don't want any of the other features of DTUtils, any of
the other programs around such as IR or Font/DA Installer will work just as
well.
