Well, until such a program is written, try this simple method:
1) Download a GIF graphic image _larger_ than 320x200 (ie, 640x400, 800x600,
1024x768, etc) and convert it using a program such as Prism. The file,
which will be a multi-page (scrollable) image in the 320 mode, should
next be saved as an APF (Apple Perferred Format) picture file.
2) Using Platinum Paint 2.0 (and assuming you have enough RAM), load the
converted APF image on screen, in the default 320 mode.
3) Select 'Print Setup' from the File menu. Choose '50% actual size' in
the setup dialog (this step is important!). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4) Print image out to ImageWriter II or other printer in B&W or color.
You should notice the printed image is quite smooth looking, not at
all jaggied or rough. If the image was larger than 320x200, you'll have a
*full-page* image that looks great! Even in color, though I recommend no more
than 16 colors on a ImageWriter II. To get the best results, stick with GIF
images of cartoons or line-art (many good examples can be found on the
newsgroup 'alt.binaries.pictures.cartoons'). You'll be pleasently surprised
by the quality of graphics your ImageWriter can produce! :)
