apple //e diagnostic card

i just bought a couple of these from a guy, but didnt get any instructions
with them. its not much bigger than an 80 column card, and has a empty
spot for an ic, and also has a toggle switch. will this card work on an
apple ][+ ? thats what i could sure use it on! :\  i plugged it into the
expansion port on my laser128 and i think i did a pr#7 or something like
that to get to it, and it said the d8 rom is bad, although the machine
works fine, probably because its not genuine apple. anyone have any
details on how to use it? since im not willing to give up my apples, i
better have all the tools i can get to take care of em! :)
