How to get to #Apple2GS
Well, Peter Handel and some others have asked me to post this, so here
goes:
#Apple2GS is on Undernet, not EFnet. Use one of the following servers
to reach the friendly Undernet:
jive.rahul.net vinson.ecn.uoknor.edu
milwaukee.wi.us.undernet.org iota.coe.neu.edu
sci.dixie.edu irc.ucdavis.edu
pasadena.ca.us.undernet.org
Just join the channel then. I am trying to round up support, so I'll
make this deal: if you are seen on #Apple2GS on Election Day, I'll send you
the source code to DeskMaker GS v1.0. (This deal subject to change or
cancellation without notice.) Don't e-mail me about this deal unless you were
using a public client or your IRC address is not your e-mail address.
And yes, I have a scrollback, so you don't need to try to get my
attention.
Remember This: House Rules Are...
1. Do not ask for ops. I am the only op on the channel.
2. No foul language or racist comments. Three strikes and you're out.
3. No software piracy. Violators will be kicked and banned for a long
time faster that you can say "warez."
4. No chain letters. I don't know why I even mentioned this, but chain
letters are forbidden. Violators will be kicked and banned and your
system admin will be notified.
5. No warbots. Nice bots are permitted, even without authorization,
but warbots will be kicked and banned.
6. No flooding. Flood and get banned. Period.
7. No teasing newbies. Three strikes and you're out.
Three strikes and you're out means:
First offense: You will be warned.
Second offense: You will be kicked.
Third offense: You will be kicked and banned.
---
But don't think that I'm trying to stifle free speech here. I believe
in the First Amendment as much as any of you. I am only doing this for
the good of the channel and the people on it. Really.
---
So come on by! Remember: free source code (possibly ;)!
