Sounds like a good idea.  In the meantime, you should be able to do a
perfectly good (if somewhat tedious) job with a standard text editor.
All the necessary documentation on the HTML format is available on the
Web.

I'm reasonably familiar with HTML, and I'm writing it directly in an
editor on my UNIX host.  Not too bad for small documents, but it would
certainly be nice to automate it for larger documents.


Writing a GUI HTML editor might be a little tricky: you basically need
a text editor with some kind of extension to set up links.  You can't
just use TextEdit, because it doesn't support graphical objects or
other custom inserted data types.  You would basically have to
implement a full editor.  Not a simple task.
