Re: TCP/IP

The Ethernet card WAS produced by Apple for the Apple II line. I am unsure if
any are available at this time.

Re: TCP/IP on an old ][ - although it may be within the bounds of possibility,
TCP/IP is not easy to write for the 8-bit ][s. TCP/IP is much more robust
than any other protocol, and the programs which run on top of it are not
trivial. When you run, say, Telnet, you are running, in effect, three
programs simultaneously - a terminal emulator and two communications
protocols. In addition to the programs, you also require buffer space,
in triplicate (or, if well-written, with extra header space tacked on...)

I am one of the last to say it can't be done, and it probably could, but the
difficulty would be immense.
