Help w/ //e serial, video

I am having a bit of trouble with an Apple ][e I just got.(I got it because
it doesn't work...) Actually, it works, but not quite right. There appears
to be a grid on the screen, and all the text is garbled, but it works
otherwise. Also, I need the DIP switch settings for the 
Apple Super Serial Card II. I believe the video problem is in the ROM, since
it displays graphics perfectly but not text. I pulled the ROM and turned it
on and the screen was black, so that may be the case. If so, where can I
get a replacement ROM? Last but not least, I need a disk controller card.
