CUST.DICTIONARY files posted

Recently uploaded to grind and sent to c.b.a2:
 
DICT.xx.SHK / xx = 01 through 19.
 
These are ASCII text files of words one per line,
suitable for use as CUST.DICTIONARY files with
Appleworks. These were compiled from several different
spell checkers and custom dictionaries from various
systems, including some specialty dictionaries for
medical, chemical and legal use. There is well over
200,000 words here, though many of them can be counted
out as included in the main dictionary.
 
The 19 files are 57K or less each so they can unSHK
to less than 140K for people using 5.25" disks.
 
These were cut into alphabetically arranged sections,
so to make use of them, you'd need them all. BUT!
This is too large to use as is. The full file when
concatenated is 2.5 MB. AW 3.0 chokes on this. Randy
Brandt himself told me he doesn't know for sure what the
size limit is for AW 3.0, but it's certainly less that
2.5 meg. So don't just patch it into a CUST.DICT file
and cut it loose. You'll have to either edit the files
down by hand, or load them and use (A)DD TO CUST.DICT
from the spell checking menu.
 
I don't know if the size limit was changed with AW 4.0,
or if it will be with AW 5.0. If someone finds this out
for sure (i.e. no 'supposed to' statements), I'd like to
hear about it.
 
These 19 SHK files total about a meg as is, so please
don't ask me to mail them. They will be available from
the traditional FTP sites. Due to the sheer size, I am
sending them out over c.b.a2 using my site's automagic
binary poster, which only works to uuencode. If this is
a problem, I can post a self-extracting uudecoder, but
I won't be reencoding these as binscii.
