Anyone remember the THUNDERSCAN?

I once read about a device called the ThunderScan

It replaced the ribbon in an Imagewriter and would
thus convert the printer into a scanner.

If anyone remembers it, and can tell me who made it
and where they are (or were) I would be MOST grateful.
