I've seen enough of this stuff going on here. Please cease and desist
this crap, unless you're both dedicated enough to it to do it in email.

So many of the people that are left in the IIgs world have this "fairy-land"
attitude about them, like it's "us against the horrible pc world", or
that we're some kind of rebels fighting back, resurrecting the IIgs
just because after eight years we can display .jpegs at crappy
dithered resolution imposed by the IIgs' own limits.

Get real.

But too many of the IIgs' most impressive advances have come
within the past two or three years, long after many developers began
to drop out, after a+ disappeared, etc. All most of them ever did was
produce slow, human-interface compliant crap, which preferred to use
an 800k disk drive as it's master.

Both of you have created some of the most impressive stuff for the
IIgs that has ever been created. And some of both of your works remain
permanent fixtures on my hard drive.

Ian, if you don't like what Jawaid is doing with Second Sight, that's
fine. But why does everybody have to waste time on this crap rather
than work towards a surviving IIgs community. And this thing with the
command being added to GNO; it'll end up there eventually; they need
it for the other project.

Jawaid, i'll undoubtedly buy a Second Sight when they are released,
but dude, kill this constant crap about having a job, etc. If a
homeless man wrote gs-tcp, i wouldn't care if he had a job or not,
just that he'd done the community a service by writing software for it.
Take it to email.

Am i to be flamed for only stating the obvious? I'm embarrassed enough
that I had to waste bandwidth telling two of the IIgs' remaining
pillars of strength to give it up on comp.sys.apple2.
