: It isn't a viewer, only a converter. (DJPEG). It worked fine for me,
: but took a very long time - a 300k-ish JPEG took about three hours to
: convert to a 1.2MB GIF file on my unaccelerated IIgs. I couldn't
: display the resulting file, but it worked fine on a PC-based GIF
: viewer on a friend's computer.

: He later got hold of the same JPEG conversion program and ran it on
: his 486 DX-2/66, and it took 12 minutes to do the same conversion. :-)

Uh... There's something seriously wrong with that sentence if you really
meant 12 MINUTES. With this 486/66 running NeXTSTEP a 300k jpeg takes about
6 seconds to come up...
