SSII Volume I Index

I've learned a very valuable lesson; namely, it is impossible to
accurately predict how long it is going to take to complete a
computer related task.

In Shareware Solutions II, Issue #6, I estimated that a detailed
product Index covering the entire first year of SSII would be ready
at the beginning of August. Here it is, September 27, 1994 and that
Index has just arrived.

The completed index is 99K. It is an ASCII Text File. It has also
been broken down into 4 smaller segments. The entire index is
alphabetized and cross referenced.

Looking through it, I was completely amazed at just how many products
and people had been mentionned in the first 6 Issues of SSII. It's no
wonder that it's difficult to remember what appeared when. I know I
started losing track several issues ago <g>.

I think that what I will do is create 2 separate archives...one for
the 99K Big Index file, and a second one that contains the 4 smaller
segments. I'll also include an About.These.Files and an About.SSII
with the uploads.

Right at the moment, I am nearing completion of Shareware Solutions
II, Issue 7, and that must take priority. As time permits, I will be
uploading the Index Archives to comp.binaries.apple2.

Additionally, I will put the finishing touches on the Shareware
Solutions II Library extracts, and those will also be uploaded. But,
again, I must concentrate my efforts on completing SSII #7.

I'd really like to salute Frank Sweetser of the Boston Computer
Society for preparing the detailed index. He did a phenomenal and
complete job. Thanks Frank. The staff of SSII is eternally grateful
to you! For his efforts, Frank is being awarded a lifetime
