That depends on what version of FTP you're using.

On UNIX, you can type something like this:

     get FILE.TXT |more

(Be careful of the spacing--there must be a space before the vertical bar,
and no space after it.)

That command only works on UNIX.  If you're not on UNIX, I probably can't help.
