Rom1 or Rom3?

I don't want to start a Rom1 vs Rom3 war but...
 
What is the advantages/disadvantages of one over the other? I realize Rom
3 has 1 meg Ram on the motherboard and has more tools in rom.
 
-Is there any software that won't run on one but will run on the other. What
about hardware?
 
-What happens when you plug in a 4 meg Ram card into a Rom3 and RamFast only
DMA's the first 4 meg?
 
-I believe Rom3 was slightly redesigned in a way that it is less noisey than
Rom1. Does this help it run with less hang ups (I assume sound sampling
should be cleaner)
