Even ISA-bus cards with decent specs will set you back a few bucks.  I
upgraded the video on my Linux box today...an ISA-bus "Windoze
accelerator" (store brand, Cirrus Logic 5426 chipset, works fairly
well with X11 and svgalib apps, too) that does 24-bit color at 640x480
cost me about $100 at CompUSA.

$20 would probably get you the 256K VGA card that I just replaced. :-)
