Mark:  It sounds like you MAY have a problem with RF interference from
another board in your GS.  The fact that a single sheet of foil gave
you some improvement (grounded, or not?) makes it a possibility.  What
other boards are you using in the GS?  Anything with an oscillator is
a potential problem.  We're going through this at work with a couple of
adjacent boards causing a RAM test to fail.
