AOL access

I've been following the demise of Apple // access to America On-Line, and
now that I found a few extra minutes, I thought I'd give the service a
look-see before they killed the Apple // access for good.

The bad news is, that AOL is no-longer accepting new Apple // users.
Thus all these AOL disks and the "10 hours free access" letters I have
laying around are junk.  How do they expect me to use their service from
a MAC or IBM if they won't let me login and check out the system?

I guess it's just a well that there are going away, if they refuse my
business now, they'll surely do the same in the future.

BTW: I've heard that AOL will no longer update the IBM DOS version of
their software.  Looks like they are the next ones to get the axe.

Bottom line: I've got a couple of blank disks now that I've formatted the
free AOL discs.   :-)
