Mavis installable on a HD?

I just got the IIgs version of Mavis Beacon teaches typing and was 
instantly reminded how much I hate copy-protected software.  Does anybody 
have experience, tips, patches, de-protection schemes, etc.?  I want to 
be able to put this on a HD.  It would be nice to be able to make 
backups, too.

Thanks in advance.   And a BIG thank you to any programmers out there 
producing protection-free software.
