Paintworks Gold Printer problem

I have a //gs and an imagewriter and can't get PW gold to print to the
Imagewriter (I).  It simply ejects a page and prints nothing on the
paper.  Anyone have a clue as to what I've done wrong.

I'm running a Rom 01 GS with 3.25 meg, HS SCSI, 100 meg SCSI drive,
Imagewriter hooked up to printer port (standard settings), Modem to
modem port (standard settings), Quickie scanner, one 3.5, one 5.25
drive on Smartport, a joystick, a TWGS 7Mhz/8kcache.
