Copy ][ Plus Woes

I have a problem with my Copy ][ Plus v 9.0.  Before I get to deep, I know not
to use this much and I really only use it for small stuff.  Anyway, I bought
Mean 18 and thought I'd make a backup.  I haven't used Auto Copy in ages.  When
I get as far as selecting Mean 18, the 3.5 source and destination it crashes
into monitor.  I have it installed on my HD, I am using an Apple 3.5 and my
RAM5 configured as a 3.5.  I can't remember the last time I had to copy a copy
protected disk so I don't know if this has been a long time problem or I've
changed something somehow.  If there are any great ideas as to what to look
for, I'd appreciate it.  I just don't want to keep using the original.  Also,
while I am at it ... is there a way to copy Mean 18 to the HD?  I was thinking
I could just copy it to RAM5 and it'd run faster.  It keeps giving me the
protection error when I do a regular GS/OS copy.
