Well, I doubt we will ever see a newer "Apple generated" filetype
descriptor file.
 
But, the technote clearly describes that you can add more ftd
files and I think they can even override FType.Apple, but
I'm not sure.

I _think_ filetype assignments are now the responsibility of
the A2Pro roundtable on GEnie, so maybe "they" have the authority
to replace FTyple.Apple.
