You more than likely wouldn't be able to go to a dealer to get your
system upgraded. (Why you would go to a dealer for _anything_ is
beyond me, IMHO. :-) ) A while back, though, Shreve Systems (check
_Computer_Shopper_ for their address) was selling upgrade kits (ROM 01
motherboard and baseplate) for $150 (plus a $100 core charge for your
IIe motherboard, but this may have changed). I took this route,
installed the upgrade one evening (had to reshape some of the
standoffs with a grinder first)...and I've been happy as a clam ever
since. :-)
