Apple's fan is rated at 350 mA, I think (it is rather hard to get it
out of the mounting bracket, so I don't want to look just now). Make
sure any fan you get is rated at 350 mA or less, and 12V DC.
There may be special features of the Apple-supplied fan, but I doubt
it. It certainly causes a lot of noise on the 12V rail.
The fan should blow into the power supply.
