I have a serial card I need to configure. No docs, and the ultimate
source of the card is vanished in the mists of history, as usual.
The card: CA Computer Associates Universal Serial Interface, Model
J13-A(sub 1) for the Apple IIe
It's a (roughly) 2.5" high x 4" wide card, with 2 ports, and a single
DIP-switch in the top left corner, switches 1-8, marked "SW1" and "BAUD
RATE". There are sockets for 2 UARTS, 2 ten-pin headers marked
"Terminal" and "Modem", respectively.
I have one connector for it (port to DB25), and can figure out the
pinouts for myself from that. But does anyone have the docs for the DIP
options? Otherwise, I'll have to switch-and-try, switch-and try, not only
a PITA, but unreliable.
Any help appreciated. I wonder if we couldn't jointly establish an
archive of card dox somewhere, hopefully without stepping on anyone's
copyright toes?
