Here's some paraphrasing of what it says in "Basic Programming with
ProDOS":
The FLUSH command without options causes all files (with the
exception of EXEC files) to be flushed. If a pathname is used (e.g.
"FLUSH /VOLUME/FILE" only the specified file is flushed. When a file
is flushed, any characters in the output part of the file buffer are
written to that file, and updated index and allocation buffers are
copied to the file's directory.
