Re: AppleWorks to Mac (?)
You didn't say which "Works" you were using. ClarisWorks will open (and
convert to ClarisWorks format, complete with underlining, boldface,
margins, etc. intact) AppleWorks word processor files. It will also open
AW database and spreadsheet files.
As long as you can get your files back to a ProDOS formatted disk, your
GS and AppleWorks should be able to read them just fine. If you have
GS/OS System 6 and the HFS FST installed (it's the file translator that
allows you to read/write Mac format) you will be able to read the disk in
its current format (assuming you have a high-density SuperDrive;
otherwise you'll have to put it on a DD disk) from GS/OS, but AppleWorks
won't be able to get to it because it's a ProDOS-8 application, and P8
doesn't do HFS. Simplest solution: Use Apple File Exchange to move the
files back to a ProDOS disk.
