.SHK files are so much nicer for most people involved, but there
are some people who do not have the capabilities to deal with, or know
how to handle raw binary files. Most ftp programs default to ascii
transfer, which will toast .SHK files. I think the Apple folks decided
to make things worse for most of us just so they didn't have to deal
with people who downloaded .SHK's in ascii mode, and started incorrect
rumors saying the Apple stuff was corrupted.
