This is all well and good but the answer to the original poster's question
was and is that it is not possible to access a floppy disk over the network.
Since you brought it up it should be mentioned that there's no need to set
up shared folders if you log on to the Mac using the same name as the owner
of the machine which you set in the sharing setup control panel. If you do
this you can access everything.
For the record, I keep a 4 mb RAM disk set up on my Quadra and log the IIgs
on to it via Appleshare to transfer files.
