IIe Card/Powerbook 500 series

Ho, all---
	
	I was reading (drooling) the other day re: the Powerbook 500 series. MacUser
indicates that they have a "LC-type PDS slot" underneath the trackpad,
accessible from the left-hand side.
	As I recall, the IIe card also uses a "LC-type PDS slot".
	Now, for my question: can a IIe card be connected to the Powerbook's "LC-type
PDS slot" (perhaps via a ribbon cable)?, thereby resulting in a Mac/IIe
notebook that is PowerPC upgradeable?
	Inquiring minds REALLY want to know!!!
